The Best Alternative to OBS Studio
Introduction
Working with a webcam on many online platforms turns into a real challenge. A strict outline appears on the screen—an oval for the face or a fixed frame—and your image doesn't match it in size or position. As a result, the system blocks you from proceeding, demanding a perfect fit, and the entire workflow is jeopardized before it even truly begins.
For a long time, the only solution to this problem was a workaround using OBS Studio. This method allowed you to adjust the image, but it required complex settings, switching between windows, and placed an additional load on the system. However, this method is now obsolete: most modern web platforms have become smarter and have learned to recognize OBS virtual cameras, making this approach not only inconvenient but simply ineffective.
We have been closely monitoring this trend and your feedback. And today, we are ready to present a solution that will significantly enhance the convenience of your work.
Full Control Over Your Stream
We've added the missing element for complete control over your video stream—real-time image scaling directly in Linken Sphere!
This is a first-of-its-kind feature in the anti-detect browser market, and we are proud to announce that it is already available cross-platform for all Windows and macOS users.
This update is a direct result of your feedback. We saw that the only reason many continued to use third-party solutions was the need to fit the image to the required size and position. Now, this task is solved in just a few clicks, without extra software or complicated manipulations.
Our built-in solution offers three key advantages over the outdated method with OBS:
- Comfort — No more juggling windows and figuring out third-party software settings. The entire process—from selecting a file to scaling it—happens in a single, intuitive Linken Sphere interface.
- Efficiency — You can adjust the image size "on the fly," instantly seeing the result. This allows you to achieve a perfect match with the required area on the page, ensuring correct operation with the web service.
- Security — Our native video stream spoofing technology remains invisible to anti-bot systems, whereas the use of OBS increasingly leads to rejections and blocks.
This is a logical step in the evolution of our tool, making it truly self-sufficient and complete.
How does it work?
We have made managing the feature as quick and convenient as possible by using hotkeys. The entire process is intuitive and won't take much time to master.
- Start a work session in Linken Sphere.
- Go to the website that requires webcam use.
- Click on the video camera icon in the upper right corner of the interface.
- Select the desired video file or image (supported formats include MP4, MOV, Y4M, JPG/JPEG, PNG, GIF).
- Wait for the stream to be ready: the indicator should stop blinking and glow solid red.
- Start the process and grant the site permission to use the camera.
-
To change the scale and move around the image, hold down Control + Alt/Option and use the following keys:
- (+) — to zoom in;
- (-) — to zoom out.
After zooming in, you can move freely around the frame using the arrow keys (↑, ↓, ←, →) while holding the same modifiers.
Conclusion
With the introduction of built-in scaling, Linken Sphere now covers all user needs when working with websites that use a webcam. We have created a single, powerful, and secure tool that allows you to fully control the process "out of the box," without resorting to third-party utilities.
We sincerely thank everyone for their active participation and valuable suggestions. It is your experience that helps us make Linken Sphere better with every update. And while you are mastering the new feature, we are already preparing to tell you about other important improvements from this release. Stay tuned for announcements
